The Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Armenia in Bari is the honorary diplomatic office representing the interests of the Republic of Armenia in the Apulia region, working in close cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Italy.

Our Mission

The Honorary Consulate serves Armenian citizens residing in or visiting Apulia, Italian citizens who maintain ties with Armenia, and all those wishing to deepen the cultural, economic, and institutional links between the two countries. Our activity is founded on the principles of friendship, cooperation, and mutual understanding between the Armenian and Italian peoples.

Our Activities

• Institutional representation: promoting bilateral relations between the Republic of Armenia and the institutions of Apulia (the Region, municipalities, chambers of commerce, universities)
• Assistance to citizens: providing information and guidance to Armenian citizens in the region
• Cultural promotion: organizing and supporting events, exhibitions, conferences, and initiatives dedicated to Armenian culture, history, and traditions
• Economic cooperation: facilitating contacts between businesses, economic operators, and institutions of both countries
• Public diplomacy: spreading awareness of Armenia, its millennia-old history, and its cultural heritage among the people of Apulia

The Consulate's Structure

Honorary Consul The Honorary Consul is the official representative of the Republic of Armenia in Bari, appointed in accordance with the procedures set out under international law and Armenian consular regulations, with the agreement of the Italian authorities.

Counsellor for General Affairs The Counsellor for General Affairs supports the Honorary Consul in carrying out the Consulate's institutional, cultural, and communication activities, with particular responsibility for relations with the media, academic institutions, and local authorities.

In 2023, in recognition of efforts made in support of cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and Italy, the Counsellor for General Affairs was awarded the Medal for Cooperation by the President of the Republic of Armenia.
